About Dr. Stephen Buskin

Dr. Stephen Buskin was born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. He completed my medical university training at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. His early years as a doctor took Dr. Buskin to Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town renowned for the first heart transplant. He started his paediatric training in South Africa and completed it in the Sheba Medical Centre in Tel Aviv, Israel. After meeting his Dutch wife, he moved to Holland. Initially, he completed a year in AMC Hospital in Amsterdam. Soon thereafter, with his wife as practice manager, they started a home-based paediatric practice in The Hauge and Wassenaar. This, in combination with paediatric consultant work in various hospitals in England and Scotland and The Netherlands.

“During my training as a paediatrician, I became aware of two important realities. First, that conventional medicine, remarkable as it is, has its limitations. Second, that many families were seeking additional support for their children’s health through homeopathy and other forms of complementary and alternative medicine. This sparked my interest and led to my training as a homeopath and an integrative medicine pediatrician. I completed my homeopathic training under internationally renowned practitioners in Israel and later in the Netherlands. Over the years, I have continued to expand my expertise by attending seminars and advanced trainings with leading homeopaths from England, India, Germany, Ireland, Norway, and other countries.”

In addition to homeopathy, Dr. Stephen Buskin has developed extensive knowledge and experience in a range of integrative medicine approaches, including the use of nutrition, diet, and supplements. Today, the Clinic for children is one of the few paediatric practices in the Netherlands offering truly integrative paediatric care, combining conventional medical treatment with complementary therapies to support children with both common and complex medical conditions.
